28/05/2025 21:55 COLD. EVER SO COLD.
ITS 11 CELCIUS !!! WHAT !!!

I APOLOGIZE !!! Its been so long since i updated that im slowly turning into a ice brick... I FORGET THIS SITE EXISTS!!! or get lazy...

So... Guess what! Having e-waste pays off, actually. Really cool! Since it's been cold, yet so warm inside my room!

the computers i have really heat up the room !!! so its not cold in my room!!! this is super cool.

on more unrelated news; my c9 pro case arrived. and it fits so well. I've been maining this phone due to its size for a while now.

i dont really have any complaints, aside from the fact i cant seem to get LTE or 4G, but it makes sense- this phone is only compatible with 2G and 3G

a closeup of a corner of the phone in the dark showcasing the screen and its contents, the screen shows the top bar, showing the phone is at 65%, that its 23:04 at the time of the picture, and that its connected to 3G H+

and here's a pic showing off the case;

a image showing the phone entirely, the phone is a galaxy c9 pro in black and it has a pink book-style case on with a pinkish sunset on a bridge as the wallpaper

large hands (;-;)

first off; sorry !!! The packages i mentioned a long time ago arrived a week ago so,,,

I forget this site exists sometimes. Either way; we're focusing on the phone i received. My C9 Pro.

a large phone laying on a table at an angle, the screen is on the home screen and it shows a pink wallpaper with pink icons as well. the phone has 56% of battery and it shows the picture was taken at 21:47

This phone is incredibly notable to me, because of several reasons.

1. They never released outside of asia.

2. They came with USB-C and 6 gb of ram.

3. Their screen is 15cm.

The second reason is very notable. This is basically the second samsung phone released that came with usb-c.

and the third reason as well!!! i bought it primarily due to the size. It's very big in comparison to my other phones.

I compared it with some other phones and the one it matched up with was my Lumia 640 XL,

which i already liked the size but didn't use as my main phone due to the fact it doesn't run android...

But this one does! And mine is currently on android 7, it can go up to android 8.

i also looked on XDA forums and found no roms that could update this device further

oh yeah, i should also note that this phone is the Hong Kong version, so i can unlock the bootloader.

Software aside, it came in a neat box with two accesories; the charging cable and battery.

neither the box or accesories were original, obviously but they are nice in case i ever want to put it on a box again-

although they were low quality so i might not even mind when i sell it again, if i ever do.

as for the hardware; cosmetically speaking it seems fine. It has some scratches on the back and the digitizer seems to have been replaced.

a closeup of a corner of the phone showcasing the frame and screen and the glue inbetween just slightly coming off, the screen is on the home screen with a black garden wallpaper, the top bar is visible and you can see the phone has 99% of battery left and the clock showing 0:23 a closeup of the back of the phone focusing on the top part, showing some white dots and scratches where the paint has wore off

i dont mind the digitizer being replaced or the minor cosmetic damages, over all im satisfied with my purchase to be honest!!!

oh yeah, i also ordered a nice case for it. so expect it to arrive sometime in the future. probably next mid month.

20/04/2025 16:14:07 Mac Upgrades
card flashing tho !!! (o_o)

Fun adventure two days ago.

I main a Mac Pro from 2008 (macpro3,1) - and i noticed the graphics card on them wasnt that great. They wouldn't run this game called "Night in the woods" properly.

On top of that, i also realized i couldn't see neither the boot screen or the boot logo with them (Nvidia Geforce 210) - i went asking around and i realized

they didn't come with them originally and the original card got replaced.

Cool surprise! It makes sense kind of, considering this came from a company - so they probably switched them out without even checking proper compatibility at a IT department.

After browsing around, i came across a very cool blog post containing a lot of information in regards to these machines.

What cards were compatible, the ram that can work with it, what OS works best on it, etc, etc.

using this guide, i managed to figure out what GPUs work best and which ones don't.

So i started checking what graphics card would work best with them, since i had a few already from older computers...

a stock image showasing a ati 5770 graphics card from an angle

Lo and behold, my red looking ATi HD 5770 was going to work nicely!

Like, really nicely - you can actually flash a custom rom to these things to get them to work more proper.

So, the plan was clear: get it on my mac, test it out and then flash the rom to finalize everything!

Except... it wasn't quite easy, as i would figure out. They have to be powered by a PSU as well - and i realized that even though i had the cable that went from AMOLEX to them, there were no cables that reached to where the graphics card was going to be in order to properly power them.

Well, damn!

BUT, i did have plenty of power supplies as well, so i just thought - oh well, im already here, and the graphics card i have is usable but i need more power, so i might as well just have a external PSU right?

this is not a good idea obviously i dont think anyone should ever do something like this aside from me but i didnt really mind that much soooooo

a plugged in and turned on black power supply with a red sticker on its side, positioned upside down a top a black ethernet switch and a black computer

Perfect!, as for the mac, they accepted them happily on the operating system, but i still couldnt see the boot menu or boot logo.

a screenshot showcasing the mac os x operating system recognizing the computer as having a ATi 5000 graphics card with 1 gb of video ram, a 2,8 ghz quad-core intel xeon, 8 gb 800mhz ram and running os x el capitan

And they also couldn't recognize them properly, how notable! (The card isn't a 5000, they are a 5770)

The same post would mention EFI flashing, and i realized how better they would work if they were just flashed, so i started to look on my pile of computers on the backyard.

explanation: one of my parents is a merchant and so they buy and resell and also assemble computers for a living. it pays better than their previous jobs acording to them.

and i found a neat computer, with a custom board, a pre-installed SATA hdd and some ram on them already!

a black tower computer with a gray front plate with a disc drive visible and a columbia branding

note: this is the pc after i cleaned them and did some maintenance

they were very loud when powered on however, and that annoyed me :(((( - so i decided to clean them out and power them on again, and i found out their issue:

their power supply was very loud for some reason, so i switched it out and we're ready to go!

but, for what? you might wonder. it's because i need a pc that can take this board that's not a mac, so i can actually flash this in the first place.

This is easily done via following dosdude1's guide, you flash a USB drive as FreeDOS and include some programs to flash them.

you then make a backup rom file of the graphics card, then modify it on OS X, and finally flash the patched rom back to the graphics card.

Once this was all done, i took the graphics card and properly installed it;

a graphics card installed on the pci slot of a mac pro, with the power cable of the graphics card going outside of the computer

Beautifull card and computer! You might have also noticed the power cable is going towards the back and outside of the computer, to the external PSU...

oh well, minimal details :3

Now finally, plugging it in and booting reveals...!

... graphical issues, how odd!

Yeah, so turns out this graphics card is damaged, but not entirely damaged. The HDMI output will fail to properly work, but the DVI output works fine!

also yeah, no image attached this time because im writing this afterwards and i didn't take a pic or video to show it off.

And so, the end result is ...!

screenshot showcasing the mac os x operating system now properly recognizing the card as a ATi 5770 graphics card with 1 gb of video ram on it

Proper recognition in the operating system and on the bios of this mac pro!!!!

so they're really neat!

As for the HDMI issue, i don't mind and they seems to work fine since they can run my favorite game (night in the woods) at a whopping 60 FPS!!!

yes, there's minimal graphical issues, but its no real issue! plus, now i can actually update to a more modern version thanks to this card!

Repair of more device

I have more e-waste obviously. I had two more packages prepared. That i did not show in the last post.

List:

* Tab 10.1 (GT-P7500)

* Lumia 1020 (RM-877)

These are not repairs i ordered new, these are repairs i already received last time (on 24/12/2024), i just didnt fix them on time.

For the 10.1 -- I bought a touch glass because the old one was broken, but i lacked the tools to do such fix, so i lended the piece and the tablet to a Repair shop to do it for me.

For the Lumia device, i bought a USB port replacement as the old one broke. This one i did it myself.

The lumia was notably more time consuming as after doing the repair, i did not properly put the frame correctly.

(For those who arent aware: To switch out the usb port you must unglue the metal frame from the plastic frame.)

As such, i had to dissasemble it 3 times to put it properly (the frame) so the screen would fit in and remain.

The screen also notably needs to be reglued as even with the finished proper frame, it still pops up in one side. The glue has worn down apparently.

The time line is essentially this: In 2022, i ordered a new screen to replace the broken one. I found out the USB port is broken.

In 2024, i bought the USB port. I have fixed the device properly today. but the port was there since the start of this week.

Phone before screen repair:

Phone at the midst of repair (Notice the screen sticking out due to improper frame placement):

Phone repair finished:

I'd like to point out, perhaps this is a very notable phone to me. It has lived thru quite a lot.

I have not personally owned this device, it was from a familiar. But if the phone had a sentience. I believe it would know a lot and seen a story play out.

It's seen manufacturing back in 2013. It's seen relationship abuse up until 2016. It's seen a dysfunctional family until 2016.

Today, it's seen miscare and finally - repairs. Care. Love.

It will not remain mine. This will be gifted to another familiar of mine, not for use but for collection purposes. They asked for it.

Also, just a fun fact but -- those 4 missed calls on the lock screen, are from 2016! The phone was last used that year! Its quite amusing to me.

On the other hand, a device i've owned and has seen my irresponsibility and finally some care this year:

The P7500.

I ordered a white glass to match its case.

Before the repair:

I then lend it to a trusty shop with the part to change the glass. It took 2 days, and finally another because i didn't see the message to pick it up in time.

After the repair:

I am pleased with the result of both devices.

The 1020 was planned to get a case, but i was unable to find any in AliExpress. Ebay and Amazon are way too expensive for me to consider.*

(* seriously, importing taxes + paypal + regular purchase taxes + courier + the service's own shipping thing is NOT cheap.)

24/12/2024 Happy Holidays - I am receive of package and Also Repair a Lot Of my e-Waste
I have a lot of e-Waste. Some of it Repair required.

List:

* HUWI Mate 20 Lite (BackGlass Issue)

* S7 Edge (BackGlass Issue)

* Note 5 (The Statal Model with Carrier Locked Bootloader) (Screen Issue)

* XIMI Redmi Note 8 Pro (Missing BackGlass. I dont Know Where it Went)

I order All these repair from popular AliExpress site 2 to 3 weeks ago. Maybe. I think.

First ones to get replacement. S7 Edge for BackGlass. I own for Long Time so i Want Fix since the screen Perfect State.

The change of Color. Is not odd. I have requested Gold backglass Since the front is also Gold.

The change ended pleasing for me.

Next one was my old but beloved Huawei.

I was quite drained when i did this one, so it ended up unpleasing. I re-did it the day after but more properly to not have gaps in between the frame and back. It is now pleasing.

Also, i had to manually glue the Camera Lens and Finger print, this is not Issue. I knew this when ordering product.

Next, i did the XIMI phone

It also ended unpleasing. I re-did this one the next day as well and it came out better due to the pressure being put more properly. I ended up being pleased.

The last one would be the Note phone.

It pleasing. It ended fine. Somehow. I did not screw this one somehow. I was very happy and when i went to get the cases for them the day after. It all fit in so well. Very lovely.

Some notes

The mate 20 Lite, require more repair. The speaker does not work. And the glue has clouded the screws. I cannot get the screws out. It is somewhat hard. I am unpleased by this but nevertheless. still Like it. The phone is externally astounding. But the inside is a mess. I do not know what to do with it since even if i update it. It is useless due to sound issue. The screws are impossible to take out. So i cannot replace speaker.

Update: I have received a Nokia Android Phone. It is G20 model. This is from my aunt. I am deciding on whether or not to buy repairs to get it back to Pristine condition. The screen is cracked. And the camera outer lens. I will require two pieces to buy. But it is costly.
